A very auspicious plantation programme was organized at our school to create an awareness about the need of the vegetation to the life on earth as well as to come to know about the reasons for the climate change and its adverse effect on us.
Further, the programme aimed to plant about 50 saplings in the school premises. Students from Grade VI to X planted the saplings adhering to their respective Houses i.e., Shams, Qamar, Njam and Shihab. Along with the students the teachers also participated in the event to help the students.
Adhering to the principle of Islam to make the people to derive the benefits from the trees, the students of Grade I to V under the able guidance of the teachers have sown the fruits’ seeds.
Apart from that the students were taught to make/design some eco friendly wearing, jewellery and crafts from the materials obtained from the trees.
Also, the students of Grade IX and X prepared the mats, basket and broomsticks using coconut leaflets.
Along with that the traditional cuisines made from the ingredients obtained from the plants brought by the students of Grade IX and X were distributed to the primary and middle section as well as the secondary section students.
To reinforce the spirit and to make the students eco friendly different activities were conducted.
We humans, although derive a plentiful benefits from the nature and the environment, do not contribute much to it. Hence, let’s all plant as many trees as possible at our respective areas so as to create a very healthy environment and contribute in minimizing the climatic changes. We hope that everybody would plant a tree in their lifetime and contribute in conserving the nature. More importantly act on the sunnah of our Prophet (SAW).
It’s been said if we are not grateful to the people we will not grateful to Allah Subhan Wa Ta’ala. Hence, we are enormously grateful to the beloved parents of our dear students for their kind cooperation and support as well as to the teachers for their wholehearted involvement in guiding and educating the students about the significance of the trees and environment in human life.
